DRI in Action: Region of Peel

We’re wrapping up the field portion of an exciting project for the Region of Peel – our largest DRI deployment in North America! Over the past 5 weeks, two dedicated crews have worked tirelessly to complete over 30 km of assessments on 100mm to 400mm Ductile and Cast Iron pipelines.

This collaborative effort was made possible with invaluable support from the Region of Peel Operations team and traffic control and DRI field support provided by Geotech.

With the fieldwork now complete, KenWave Solutions Inc. will analyze the data to determine wall thickness and locate leaks. In collaboration with Rabia Mady, P.Eng, Consulting Engineer from GHD, we’ll deliver a comprehensive structural integrity and condition assessment report, including predictive analysis, to help the Region of Peel effectively manage their critical pipeline infrastructure.

A big thank you to everyone involved, including Gopinath Chandran , Nimarta G., Imran Motala, and the Region of Peel Operations team, for their trust in KenWave and our DRI technology.

Region of Peel: Large-Scale Metallic Watermain Condition Assessment

The Region of Peel assessed over 50 km (31 mi) of metallic watermains using non-invasive vibroacoustic inspection to strengthen its risk-based renewal framework. By integrating Dynamic Response Imaging™ data into its Decision Support System, the Region improved deterioration modeling, prioritized 22 km of high-risk mains for renewal, and optimized long-term capital planning.
